Springs for Wall Beds

After a few years of use springs may loose their elasticity. It may then be appropriate to change the springs in the cabinet. There will then be more suspension in the door and it will close more easily.

Some guidelines on the number of springs for different wall beds:

Horizontal 80 x 200 cm: 1-2 springs on each side
Horizontal 90 x 200 cm: 1-2 springs on each side
Horizontal 100 x 200 cm: 2 springs on each side
Horizontal 120 x 200 cm: 2-3 springs on each side
Horizontal 140 x 200 cm: 4-5 springs on each side

Vertical 80 x 200 cm: 3-4 springs on each side
Vertical 90 x 200 cm: 3-4 springs on each side
Vertical 100 x 200 cm: 4-5 springs on each side
Vertical 120 x 200 cm: 5-6 springs on each side
Vertical 140 x 200 cm: 5-6 springs on each side
Vertical 160 x 200 cm: 6-7 springs on each side
Vertical 180 x 200 cm: all the springs on each side

The number of springs determines the weight of the wall bed. The heavier the mattress the more springs are needed.
